 National Sheep Association

The National Sheep Association represents the views and interests of sheep producers throughout the UK. It is very concerned at the spread of sheep scab which it lobbied to keep it on the list of notifiable diseases but now supports a voluntary campaign Stamp out Scab.

The SCOPS website offers advice on scab control either by injectables (though anthelmintic resistance is an increasing problem) or through dipping where OPs are still the only products available.

At the Westminster meeting NSA regional manager from the South East called for sheep farmers to be tested before using OPs, preferably through the NHS.
